what type of energy is utilized by the various endothermic reactions taking place in the cell ??
1 Answer | Add Yours
it is the chemical energy given out by the breakdown of ATP(Adenosine TriPhosphate)-energy currency of the cell.ATP is produced in the cell during cellular respiration(glycolysis & Kreb's cycle) .this atp molecule is used to do all the activities in the cell to keep it in a living condition.Aproximately 1 ATP molecule releases 8.15kcal in hydrolyses of first phosphate bond and 6.5 kcal in hydrolyses of second phosphate bond and 3.4 kcal in hydrolyses of last phosphate bond.
