What is the total power of the circuit?

We have two resistors connected parallel here. So across each of the two resistors we have voltage of 10V.

For R1 using V = IR;

`10 = Ixx5xx10^3`

`I = 10/(5000) = 0.002A = 2mA`

 

So the total current of the circuit is` (2+10) = 12mA = 0.012A`

 

Power of a circuit is given by P = VI

`P = 10xx0.012`

`P = 0.12W`

 

So the power of the circuit is 0.12W.
