What is the test for monoxide carbon gas?

There exists no tests for carbon monoxide gas, but for carbon dioxide gas.
Since the carbon monoxide gas is colorless and it has no smell, you can put it in evidence by burning it. The monoxide carbon gas makes a blue flame when it is burnt.
The carbon monoxide gas is neutral hence it has no influence on moist universal indicator paper.
The carbon dioxide gas is also colorless and it has no smell but it changes the color on moist universal indicator paper into yellow and it changes the original blue color on moist litmus paper into red.
