Sources of chloroform can be produced in many ways: industrial, production wastes and chemical reactions on sanitary landfills and sites.
It can also be present in chlorinated water. When treating water with chlorine, organic materials may be present in the water thus chlorinating it to produce chloroform.
its effect on the human body can be summarized as follows:
3. can damage kidney and liver upon significant intake.
4. cardiovascular depression
5. dizziness and sudden mental disorientation
6. can cause eyes and skin burns.
Effects of which are not reversible.
Exposed victims should be removed to the place. It is impossible to remove the entire chloroform in the body. Treatments can lower the concentration ingested.
