One of the major differences between the two is that the Russian Constitution (the 1993 version) was adopted by a referendum vote by the entire population while the US Constitution was ratified by conventions in each state.
Both documents outline a federal system of government with a heavily concentrated central power augmented by certain responsibilities and authority being delegated to the states for control.
Another difference is that the Bill of Rights is a separate document later added to the US Constitution but a section within the Russian Constitution addresses the idea of the rights of people.
