What is shepherd's cave?
I searched google to find that it is a place in Jerusalem, but that does not suit the context I found it in. Is there any other meaning?
The excerpt from "To the land of snow" by Ahtushi Deshpande:
We are camped at Ragash Kund, a little pond with a shepherd’s
cave on a grassy meadow above the glacier, where we sit out the
bad weather for two days and nights. (the author is speaking about the Himalayas.)

Caves where shepherds “kept watch over their flock” still abound in the area east of Bethlehem.
