I shall assume you are talking about day-day managers/directors, not the Board of Directors or such. Managers and Directors receive benefits such as being higher on the corporate ladder than other employees and contractors, and receive powers to be able to reside over groups of individuals. Managers and directors also usually receive better pay rates than their peers, and receive higher tiers of perks or benefits than normal employees.
