Job satisfaction should help to increase organizational commitment and better work outcomes.  If a person is satisfied with his or her job, they will be far more likely to work harder and longer to achieve the desired result.  A satisfied employee with show commitment and loyalty to an organization.  On the other hand, a dissatisfied employee will often produce far less work at lower quality.  It is not always a conscious decision, but rather simply a part of the way the mind works.
