What are the positives of living in Rhode Island in the 1600s?
1 Answer | Add Yours

Roger Williams was noted for maintaining peace among the tribes throughout New England. This was a great attraction for settlers. Also, Rhode Island began as a place where settlers could escape the Puritan oligarchy, a safe haven.
