You should remember that the period of tangent function is `pi` .

Your tangent function  is `tan (x/2)` , therefore you should divide the period pi by `x/2` .

Use the notation p for period.

`p = pi/(x/2) =gt p = (2pi)/x`

The period of the function `tan(x/2)`  is `p = 2pi/x` .
