Mr. Pignati, the original Pigman does not actually have a point of view, as he is dead. The retelling of the story is so that John and Lorraine can tell the true story. Lorraine believes for awhile that the Pigman comes back from the dead to give them a message, but they did not really get one. In the end they decide that Mr. Pignati left them a legacy of love.
