The Milky Way is the galaxy that our sun and solar system are part of. A galaxy is a very large group of stars, dust, and other space material. The Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy, and it is one of about forty galaxies that form the local group.
Since our solar system is part of the Milky Way, we can't see the shape of the galaxy very well from in here. Take a look at this link to see a photo of NGC 1672, another barred spiral galaxy far away. In the picture, notice the long arms that curve out away from the center of the galaxy. Our solar system is located about two-thirds of the way out from the center on an arm just like those. When you go out at night and look up at the Milky Way in the sky, what you are actually looking at is the bright, dense center of the galaxy.
The Milky Way Galaxy is the galaxy on which we stay - it is very very big. It has a black hole on the centre. it is the neighbouring galaxy of the Andromeda Galaxy. Our solar system is the part of it. Its a spiral galaxy. It is many many stars (400 billion stars)
Milky Way is a galaxy full of uncountable stars in the solar system.
The Milky Way is a galaxy.
As we know we live on Earth, and Earth is a part of Solar System. Now there are several solar systems having their own sun. This solar systems and other celestial bodies form a group which is known as Galaxy. Such galaxies are given different names. Milky way is one of the galaxy in which our Earth is present.
