This refers to the most occuring crisis or struggles between two characters, ideas that create diverging views or the ideal opposing sides in a story or work of literature.
for there to bbe a conflict we should see a one or more parties on one side differeing on idears or views with another side. Both sides should have supportive ideas or views but differing from each of the other side.

The conflict (in a novel or prose) is a problem that the main character or characters face. The conflict, or problem, needs to be solved.
In literature, conflict is two or more opposing situations on which the plot is built.
