What kind of significance does Magnesium have on our lives?

Magnesium, Mg, is one of the most abundant elements in the earth's crust and has many significant benefits in humans. Compounds of Magnesium are used in almost all industries in the society.
In humans, magnesium plays a big role in metabolism and is the 11th most abundant element in the human body. Magnesium ion takes part in controlling the synthesis of polyphosphate compounds such as ATP, DNA, and RNA. Magnesium compounds are used as part of the active substance in medicines. Recent researchers have found out that it magnesium may prevent osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases, regulates blood pressure, treats diabetes, migraine, insomnia, stress and depression.
In plants, magnesium compounds are also added in fertilizer since magnesium is contained in chlorophyll.
Magnesium (metals or its compounds) plays a role in paper production, construction supplies, textiles and solvent purification.
