Middle School Teacher
In the book Jane Eyre we find that Jane is initially a bit timid as she moves into the Rochester Estate, but she soon finds her voice. She is typical of a young woman who has bee limited by her birth status in life. She exhibits purity and warmth.
Jane is also a woman who needs love and to be able to care for someone. She is a simple woman, who is not flamboyant or overly attractive. Her looks are average and this allows Rochester to begin to see her for who she is as a person and not just an ornament like the lady who comes to his estate to visit him.
Jane is very nurturing and loving which the child and Rochester both need.
