Inborn behaviours (without obvious learning) are considered as innate behaviour. In other words behaviours that are inherent, without patent learning during lifetime, are known as innate behaviour. Fish, duck, tortoise, crocodile etc. do not learn swimming. They start swimming after emerging from egg. Young spider without any learning weave web. There are numerous examples of innate behaviours. All innate behaviours may be condensed into seven types. (1) Irritability (2) Tropism (3) Kinesis (4) Taxis (5) Reflexes (6) Instincts (7) Motivation. In human beings many responses are instantaneous. These responses are called reflex action. Reflex action may be defined as " automatic and sudden response of part or whole of the body to a specific stimulus.
