One of the most important lessons or messages that arises from the work is the value of all voices.  Essentially, Anne's voice is the voice of a teenager.  On face value, there is nothing seismic in the voice of one teen.  Yet, Anne Frank's diary proves that one voice can be powerful.  One voice can formulate generations of people to think and reflect upon the world and their place in it. Essentially, Anne Frank's diary proves that one voice can matter. Millions of people have been impacted simply by reading her voice. This becomes one of the most profound lessons of the Anne Frank's diary.

Another lesson that emerges would be found in her last entry. There is a sense of optimism that is present in so much of the diary.  The closing entry features this hope in abundance:

...the bad part on the outside and the good part on the inside, and keep trying to find a way to become what I’d like to be and what I could be if . . . if only there were no other people in the world.

In a time period when so many sought to silence their emotional voices, Anne articulated hers.  Anne never lost her ability to be in touch with her emotional sensibilities.  This is where optimism lies. In the midst of unspeakable horror and unparalleled cruelty, Anne's emotional willingness to be honest and open did not dissipate.  It is here where the message of the diary becomes so powerful.  No matter what evil is present in the world, individuals do not have to take the form of it.  There can be resistance and there can be a sense of resiliency to articulate what can be in the wake of what is. This lesson is one of the most profound that Anne Frank's diary has to offer.
