Oedipus Rex is part of what is known as
the "Theban Trilogy," three plays which deal with King Oedipus's tragic fall from power and the ruin of his children.
Each of the authors in your list is famous for something. Aristotle is a famous philosopher and writer, known for his work Poetics. Artemis is one of the famous Musketeers made famous by Alexandre Dumas. Socrates is a philosopher who is a classical Greek philosopher from Athens, Greece. Sophocles is a famous playwright, winner of many awards for plays at the Greek Dionysan festivals.
Sophocles wrote Oedipus the King.
