What is FOIL.
1 Answer | add yours
In Math, an easy way of multiplying two binomials is by a method with the mnemonic FOIL. FOIL is first, outside, inside and last.
To use FOIL, consider the following example:
(a + b)(x + y) = a*x + a*y + b*x + b*y
Here, a*x is the product of the first term of each binomial, a*y is the product of the outer terms, b*x is the product of the inner terms and b*y is the product of the last terms.
