The values of x for which the expression `(5x + 11)/(3x^2 - 2x - 4)` is not defined are those that do not lie in the domain.

3x^2 - 2x - 4 = 0

=> x1 = `2/6 + sqrt(4 + 48)/6`

=> x1 = `1/3 + sqrt 13/3`

x2 = `1/3 - sqrt 13/3`

The domain of the expression is `R - {1/3 + sqrt 13/3, 1/3 - sqrt 13/3}`

The expression `(5x + 11)/(3x^2 - 2x - 4)` is defined for all values of x that lie in `R - {1/3 + sqrt 13/3, 1/3 - sqrt 13/3}`
