Pteridophytes are reproduced by spores and they do have well developed conduction system. Pteridophytes are divided into two groups that are Eusporangiate ferns and Leptosporangiate ferns. Eusporangiate ferns develope by a group of initial cells, by several layers of walls and enormous number of spores produced per sporangium.

Eusporangiate ferns consist of two families Ophioglossaceae and Marattiaceae with three genera namely Ophioglossum, Botrychium and Helminthostachys in the former and Marattia and Angiopteris in the latter.
