Roy is already willing to adjust to life in Florida. We can see that by Roy's attempt to catch a mullet. He starts to enjoy the sun. He also felt happy for the first time since he came to Florida.

Roy realizes that he hasn't given Florida a chance (always comparing to Montana). He is ready to call Florida home and appreciate what it has to offer.
