What does Judy mean when she tells Jess and Leslie that she is stuck?
1 Answer | add yours
Judy is a writer, and has been working on a story when she experiences a bit of "writer's block" - she doesn't know what to write next. That's why, when she appears in the hallway, she tells Jess and Leslie that she is stuck. After talking to them awhile, she suddenly thinks of what to write next, and runs back to her room, where "the plinkety-plink of the typewriter be(gins) at once" (Chapter 9). Leslie says, "She came unstuck" (Chapter 9).
