What does John ask Mary Warren to do? its in the second act
1 Answer | add yours
Elizbeth has been arrested and John is desparate to save her. He knows she is innocent, he loves her, and he is racked with guilt of having been the cause of Abigail's attack on Elizabeth. John orders Mary Warren to come to court with him and testify against Abigail. He wants Mary to tell the court the truth, that the girls were dancing in the forest, and that Abigail is faking all the hysteria regarding the devil and witchcraft.
