I usually eat nothing when I am working. Now that I'm not working, I prefer to eat waffles. They really fill me up and give me energy. When I eat cereal, I'm usually hungry again within a couple of hours. I absolutely love cereal, but I prefer to eat it when I have already eaten a meal.

I almost always have cereal, usually oatmeal in the winter and a granola or bran cereal in the hot weather. As sheree points out, you can add fruit or yogurt to cereal, which I do sometimes.

I am curious as to why you asked only about pancakes and waffles versus cereal. There are many other common breakfast choices, such as eggs, bread (as toast, muffins, bagels, etc.), fruit, yogurt, or less traditional choices. The very worst choice is, of course, no breakfast at all; your body needs fuel in the morning.

Also, separating food choices into "good stuff" or "bad stuff" is difficult to do without a lot more information. Is yeauh's bowl of Lucky Charms nutrionally equal to my bowl of granola? Probably not. But it's better than nothing at all.

Now you tell us - what do you eat for breakfast? ;)

I almost always have cereal or I have eggs for breakfeast. The ONLY cereal I eat is Special K (almonds or strawberry) ,I also add fruit if I want it. I know people eat different kinds of breakfeast but these are the basic breakfeast. I sometimes eat bagels with cream cheese. I really like your answer, pacorz.

I applaud your choice of cereals; Special K has a lot of vitamins and minerals, and very little sugar, so it's a good option. I am glad to hear that you eat breakfast regularly. I wish all my students did!

I usually have bread with Almond Butter and Milk in the morning. It's quick and fast as well as it gives me energy to last

For breakfast, I really like to eat waffles! I also like to eat dumplings, steamed buns, fresh fruit, and oatmeal for breakfast as well!

If I eat cereal, I eat an oats and fruit medley. It gives me a lot of good nutrients, grains, carbs and protein all at once. Without all the processed sugars of most cereals it makes me feel great because I also don't crash down from it later like I used to with cereals I would eat in my childhood.

Its different for everyone. Some people prefer to eat a light breakfast and eat again before lunch. Others prefer a heavier breakfast. Any healthy breakfast should contain a mix of carbohydrates for energy and protein for muscle. Fruits, milk, breads, nuts, yogurt, and egg are good examples of a healthy breakfast. I usually eat oatmeal and have a glass of milk or juice.

I usually don't eat breakfast on school days because I either don't have time or I'm simply not hungry. But, on the weekends I usually eat pancakes.
