The major differences in attitude come from their different positions in the relationship and the situation. That is to say, it seems likely that they'd thought they were meeting as equals…until she got pregnant. Then his callous attitude toward the pregnancy and the trauma of an abortion reveal that the man is less emotionally involved, that he fundamentally doesn't understand how important the abortion decision is—and that he's pushing his perspective on her. Neither seems mature, but the woman seems much more honest. She's in pain.
