Traditional products used for cleaning are largely made of petroleum based chemicals. In addition, they have a large number of chemical additives that are toxic to plants and animals like bleach, chemicals containing chlorine and ammonia, etc. These are not biodegradable and it takes a very long time before the waste products are safe for the environment after the cleaners have been used.

Green cleaning chemicals on the other hand are largely made of substances derived from plants. They do not contain chemicals toxic to the environment and do not harm plants and animals once they have been used and disposed.

To make cleaners that are used for tough cleaning purposes like in industrial facilities, it is not necessary to use traditional cleaning products; modern green cleaners can serve the same purpose without causing any harm to the environment.
