I think the biggest and most obvious answer to that question is the discriminatory behaviors associated with racism, sexism, and homophobia. In order to humanity to move forward we would need to become accepting of one anothers differences and be prepared to live free of judgment. I have heard some speak of the "truth" that homosexuality is a sin, even though it has been scientifically proven (repeatedly, in fact) that sexual attraction is not a choice, but something a person is born with. I have heard some speak of the "truth" that those of European or Nordic anscestry are superior to all other ethnicities, even though it is nothing more than ignorant and uneducated to assume that the color of one's skin or the origin of one's anscestry could have any bearing on one's worth.
