Apart from the money earned, I see no benefits of prostitution to the benefits. As a matter of fact there are many problems. It is a profession generally very much looked down upon by the society. Because B of this prostitutes find it difficult to become a part of general society and lead a normal respectable life. Mush more than this the profession is very much under the clutches of criminals, who exploit the prostitutes and force them into prostitution against their will. Getting afflicted with sex related diseases including AIDS is a major problem. These diseases not only shortens their life span but also makes life very difficult once they are afflicted with any major disease. Another major problem is the short span of their working life, which makes their old age really miserable.

There are many benefits that go along with all of the negative aspects of prostitution. Many prostitutes come from low income situations and they see no other way to make money, some come from abusive relationships which they are trying to free themselves from and some are doing it for the purpose of feeling loved. For most prostitutes that negative does not outway the positive so they see no need to make changes in their lives.
Also, some women that are prositutes cannot find a way out, they may have a pimp that is hurting them or telling them that they will be hurt if they decide to quit.

Well, first and foremost there is monetary value. The prostitute is earning a living by having sex with people. For the prostitute, this may seem like the only the only option for survival. In addition, the prostitute may get some sort of emotional fulfillment from it. This is most certainly not saying that it is a healthy fulfillment, but one none the less.
