What do you think about "Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema" by Laura Mulvey, which discussed psychoanalysis of cinema and how that is relevant to pleasure and unpleasure offered by traditional narrative film?

Mulvey uses psychoanalytical psychosexual analysis applied to cinema with the purpose of dismantling through analysis the concepts of pleasure in beauty and the oppositional yet correlated concept of unpleasure. Her position is that "the satisfaction and reinforcement of the ego" must be attacked and destroyed in order to move forward in into the future free of an oppressive history and historical perspective.
"It is said that analyzing pleasure, or beauty, destroys it. That is the intention of this article." (Laura Mulvey, "Visual pleasure and narrative cinema")
