The following organisms are found in a pond ecosystem: 4 deer, 6 raccoons, 3 ticks, 8 frogs, 14 lily pads, 50 minnows, and 26 dragonflies.

Since a population is a group of individuals that live in a particular geographic area each of the following would be individual populations: the 4 deer, the six raccoons, the 3 ticks, the 8 frogs, the 14 lily pads, the 50 minnows, and the 26 dragonflies. Each of these species groups are their own populations. When you combine all of them together they make up a community. Community is defined as all of the organisms that inhabit a particular area. These would be the entire group of individual species living together and interacting with each other in one area.
