A uniform electric field of 50 V/m is directed toward the east. If the voltage measured relative to ground at a given point is 80 V, what is the voltage at a point 1.0 m directly west of that point?

The electric field lines always point in the directon of decreasing potential.
So if the field points EAST, and the point in question is located to the WEST of the point with the voltage 80V, the potential at this point is greater than 80 V by Ed = 50 V/m * 1 m = 50 V
The potential is 80 V + 50 V = 130 V.
