We know that the train started at 13:53 on Tuesday. The duration of the journey was 7 hours 20 minutes.
1) Therefore the train journey ended at (13 + 7): ( 53 + 20)
=> 20: 73 = 21 : 13
The journey ended at 21:13
2) Let mondays time taken be X. On Tuesday it took 10% more time or 1.1X. Now, the time taken on Tuesday was 440 min.
X = 440/1.1 = 400 or 6 hours 40 minutes. So on Monday 6 hours 40 minutes were taken.
Tuesday's journey took 40 minutes more than Monday.
