Depends on the point of view. Huck absolutely thinks the Widow is nicer because Miss Watson is the one trying to civilize him; however, you could say that Miss Watson is just doing what she feels is right for Huck.

The Widow is characterized as an extremely kind and caring person. She feels so badly about almost selling Jim that she grants him his freedom in her will, something most slave owners at this time would not have done.
