In 1.5 hours train has covered (180-90)=90 miles

So, in 1 hour it can cover (90/1.5)= 60 miles

So, speed of the train= 60 mph

A) From noon to 12:45 p.m = 45 minutes

In 45 minutes at 60 mph it would have covered 45 miles

Therefore, the distance between the station and the destination

=(45 +180) miles = **225 miles**

B) At 2:15 p.m the train is 90 miles away from the destination

Speed of the train=60 mph

Time taken by the train to cover this distance=90/60=1.5 hrs.

Therefore, the train will reach the destination at (2:15+1:30)p.m
