This question involves making a table with a process column. I have four groups of dots which increases from left to right by five. The initial group has 10 dots while the fourth and last group has 25 dots. Please make a table to represent the pattern and write an expression for the number of dots in the "n"th figure ("n" is any possible number that can be an input). Please explain how I can figure out these patterns. Thank you.

This is a linear question as "dots" increase by 5.  Your table would be

Figure       Dots

1              10

2              15

3              20

4              25

I could put in "Figure 0" as 5 dots asthis would give me my y-intercept for my expression.  The change in the # of dots is 5, therefore my expression for the number of dots in the "nth" figure would be

5n + 5 where n represents the figure number
