You need to remember that a line intercepts y axis at x =0, hence `4y = 3*0+ 16 =gt 4y = 16 =gt y = 4.`

Hence, the line `4y = 3x+ 16`  intercepts y axis at the point (0,4).

The length of the segment that starts in origin and ends in the point of intersection (0,4) is:

`l = sqrt((0-0)^2 + (4-0)^2)`  =>`l = sqrt 16 ` => l = 4 units of length.

Hence, the line 4y = 3x + 16 intercepts y axis at the point (0,4) and the length of the segment that starts in origin and ends in the point of intersection (0,4) is of 4 units of length.
