Solve for x.

e^x = 20

(Instead of a log on each side, do an ln on each side.)

Give your answer to four decimals.

Solve `e^x=20` to four decimal places:

`e^x=20`

`ln(e^x)=ln(20)` where ln is the natural logarithm, or `log_(e)`

`xln(e)=ln20` Using `loga^b=bloga`

x=ln20 since the natural log of e is 1

`x~~2.995732274` (from a calculator)

`x~~2.9957`
