Solve the quadratic equation:

(1/2x + 3)^2 + 6 = 19

Give your answer in the simplest form.  Enter the two solution separated by a comma.

Solve `(1/2x+3)^2+6=19` :

`(1/2x+3)^2+6=19`

`(1/2x+3)^2=13` Take the square root of both sides

`1/2x+3=+-sqrt(13)`  Note that there are two answers.

`1/2x=-3+-sqrt(13)`

`x=-6+-2sqrt(13)`

---------------------------------------------------------------

The answers are `x=-6+2sqrt(13),-6-2sqrt(13)`
