The equation 2y^2 + 4 = 9y has to be solved.

2y^2 + 4 = 9y

=> 2y^2 - 9y + 4 = 0

=> 2y^2 - 8y - y + 4 = 0

=> 2y(y - 4) - 1(y - 4) = 0

=> (2y - 1)(y - 4) = 0

2y - 1 = 0

=> y = 1/2

y - 4 = 0

=> y = 4

The solution of the equation is y = 1/2 and y = 4
