The expression for the square of (2x - y) has to be determined.

(2x - y)^2

= (2x)^2 + y^2 - 2*2x*y

= 4x^2 + y^2 - 4xy

The required answer is (2x - y)^2 = 4x^2 + y^2 - 4xy
