History of world unfinished: As long as the world and humanity survives, there is still time to write the future.

What was true at the beginning remains true: Some things in life are fundamentally and unalertably true. Peace is preferable to war, love is stronger than hate, etc.

Pain makes a man think: When life is easy, we accept our circumstances without much question. But what makes us uncomfortable usually precedes change: phyiscal pain, poverty, political change, unhappiness in general.

Thought makes man wise: The more learning a person has and the time he spends reflecting, the more he is able to think things through and make a wiser decision.

Wisdom makes life endurable: Experience brings wisdom, wisdom helps us understand not only the trials of life but also its successes.

May Augus moon bring gentle sleep: The August moon heralds the end of the harvest season and therefore rest. One day we will all see the end of our own "harvest season," our lives, and rest in death. The "play" will be over.
