A room has dimensions 3m*4m*5m. A fly starting at one corner ends up at a diametrically opposite corner. What is the magnitude of its displacement?

You need to calculate the distance traveled by the fly. That distance is actually spatial diagonal of the room. Formula for space diagonal of cuboid is
where `a,b,c` are lengths of the edges of the cuboid. So in your case you have
The displacement is `5sqrt(2)"m"approx7.071"m".`
