At a roadside market, 35% of purchaces are between $10.00 and $20.00. The probability a customer will be male is 60%.(continued down)

(continued)what is the probability that a customer will be female and will make purchase between $10.00 and $20.00?

If the prob of a male is 60% then the prob of femal is 40%  Multiply the 40% and the 35 % to get the prob of femal AND purchase between 10 & 20

Since theP(Male) = 60% then P(Female)=40% multiply that by 35 % and you get the probability of female making a purchase between $10 & $20

The probablity of female would be 100-40 = 60%.

Then multiply by 35% to get the probablity of female making purchase between 10-20 dollars

35% * 60%= 0.21= 21/100 chance

60:35 = 40:X

60X = 35(40) 60X = 1400

X = 1400/60

X =23.33% That a woman will spend between 10-20 dollars.
