In order to find the volume of a right cyclinder we apply the formula for volume which is:

`V =pir^2h` where `pir^2` represents the area of the base of the cylinder and `h` represents the height of the cylinder.

Therefore since we already know that `pir^2=base,`

we have:

`V = 12pi*6`

Therefore, `V = 72pi`
