A religion which leads you to perfection.

I don't know... I feel like this would be a religion of constant disappointment.

It sounds like, from your question, you are asking us to choose from the list of "available religions" and pick the one we think is the best.  I think most people will avoid giving you a straight answer to this (maybe I'm wrong).

It seems to me, however, that people who are, how do I say this, the most religious about their faith - and by "religious" I mean consistent - are engaged in and practicing a faith that does a couple of things: 1) gives them a plan for how to live, and that plan includes bettering themselves/others/the world at large,  2) forgives mistakes, and  3) makes them feel loved wherever they are at.

I have met people from all walks of life and many different religious backgrounds who are consistent and faithful in their spritituality because of these things.  Now if you are wondering which religion provides the best resume of these things, well, I encourage you to explore them personally.

I respect for you idea and I agree with you although I can't see this in reply to my opinion maybe because you didn't understand mine! you thought the perfection schedule is a constant disappointmet ...!

in spite of my short answer, I think that was more wide spreaded than your 3 mentioned facts. All you noticed are a little part of perfection schedule which I said as a leader religion. because of the vast aspects of such a religion I didn't desribe it and I don't avoid saying the exact name of religion. I consider every religion "in pure form of it" is common to all other heavens religions and each person thinks his is the best.

I do not think there is any one perfect religion. I really believe that this is a personal choice. For example, I am a Christian and I feel that my religion is perfect but this definitely would not be the case for someone who believes differently than I do. This is solely my opinion. I think that any religion that leads people to harmony is great.

Its not the religion, its humanity, behavior and nature of a person, which describes whether he is best or worst.

Yes and religion surrounds all these things. Religion is a broader term which includes humanity, behavior, society and much more.

You asked about the Christianity. Well Christianity is a religion which appeared 2000 years back and it was part of what Moses had been revealed.

Christianity has some of  these features but it does not have universal teachings. Because according to Jesus Christ He was confined to the tribes of Israel. A religion which has universal teachings can qualify for the best religion of the world.

I believe religion is a poison. Although i am a buddhist myself. i am basically from a small place in north india, ladakh. Where i have seen muslims and buddhist trying their best to boycott either of the religion e.g : get married to anybody from the opposed religion is considered a sin. the members of one religion organising there own groups and revolting againgst the other religion. Religion I believe poisons the mind of people and they become ethnocentric, which further leads to religious wars.

Well! about your question. which relgion do i think is the best is 'buddhism' as i am poisoned by it.

I am a Muslim and feel that Islam is the best religion. The Holy Book has not changed at al over the years and there is supporting evidence for this. This means that it is the truest religion as it has the most important aspect of it remained untweaked. Moreover, everyone is going to think that their religion is perfect and the best one because that is the one they have chosen to follow

So help me out here...if Christianity is "the best", why do you not identify yourself as (just) a Christian?  What else does the hindu faith bring to you that you cannot find in Christianity then?  (please do not hear "defend yourself!" in these words - I am just honestly curious.)  Thank you for clarifying for me.

And why, pray tell, do you feel that Christianity is best?  I may already agree that it is - and might even go beyond that to say that faith in the redeeming work of Jesus is the only way I can enter heaven - but again I am curious what prompts a hindi to make that statement.  Thanks again.

Islam clearly is NOT the best religion. In fact it is the furthest from the best.

This is Islam:

There are 35,213 Qur'an verses, hadiths, Sharia laws and various Muslim scriptures commanding and encouraging killing, violence, war, annihilation, corporal punishment, hatred, boycott, humiliation, and subjugation aimed mainly against non-Muslims!

Clearly, Islam is not a religion of peace and is NOT the best religion. There is no need to further argue this issue!

I don't think there is no such thing as the best religion in the world. In my opinion religion is created to help ease the human mind from going insane. It helps answer some of the unanswerable questions in life. Religion also helps calm a person and reassure them. Hence if you ask me, the best religion in the world would be the religion or whatever gives you calmness, and provides you with answers.
