The first thing you must do is subtract \$760 from \$950. The result should be \$190. Then you divide 190.00 by 950.00 and you will get .2 as your answer. This means that the discount for the refridgerator was 20%.

original price - the deducted percent = discounted price

950 - x (950) = 760

950 - 760 = 950 x

190 = 950 x

x = 0.2 = 20/100 = 20%
