Q. The position of a particle along the x-axis depends on the time according to the equation `x=At^2 - Bt^3.` where `x`   is in meters and `t` is in seconds.The numerical values of `A` and `B` in S.I. units are 3.0 and 1.0 respectively.

What is the total path length covered by the particle in first 4 seconds?

The total path length "x" in meters is represented by the equation:

`x = At^2 - Bt^3` where A = 3 and and B = 1 and t = 4, as the particle travelled for 4 seconds.

Substituting these valaues we have:

`x = 3* 4^2 - 1* 4^3`

`x = 3* 16 - 1* 64` ` `

`x = 48 - 64`

`x = -16` or `16 meters`
