How would I select what topic to write about for a long descriptive essay telling what it is, how it is used, where it is used, its efficiency, and how it evolved? My choices of topic are beneath but I am confused and can't think how to make a choice.
1.) Cyclone Separator
2.) Wet Scrubber
3.) Fabric Filters
4.) Electrostatic Precipitator
5.) Activated Carbon Absorber

- eliminate the topics your are unsure of or confused about.
- eliminate topics you don't enjoy or don't want to know more about.
- eliminate the topics that seem just too hard to describe, too much detail, too complex, too unclear.
The first step would be to re-examine your textbook for some ways of weeding topics out and narrowing choices down:
This text review and elimination process should leave you with one or two topics from the above list that you understand fairly well, have some interest in, want to know a little more about and can manage to describe accurately. If elimination removed all the topics, reverse direction and add the least objectionable, least difficult, least uninteresting back in and try again from those few.
