Paul has a job raking leaving leaves for a neighbor.He makes $6.50 an hour,plus $0.75 for each bag he fills.Last Saturday he worked three hours and made total of $27.75.How many bags of leaves did he fill?

Paul worked for 3 hours which means he earned `3cdot6.50=$19.50` ` `. The rest `27.75-19.50=$8.25`  he earned from all the bags he filled. Since he earns $0.75 per bag it means he filled `8.25/0.75=11` bags.

Paul filled 11 bags of leaves.
